We have decided to use Feedburner for managing our RSS subscriptions. FeedBurner is the world’s largest feed management provider. Since we started using Feedburner to manage our feeds we have had over 400 individuals subscribe to our blogs in the last week. We want to thank Feedburner for providing us with this great application.

Google announced a new search solution that allows you to create your own search engine. The advantage for a network like ours, which is already at 75 blogs and growing, is that this allows you to search all of our sites at once.

Google made it very simple to add to your site and completely customize it. Within a very short time we rolled it out, fully integrated and customized to all 75 of our sites. Because of the slick custom install we’ve written for Wordpress it will automatically be added to new sites. With how easy this is to customize I just don’t understand why some people are leaving it with the default “look and feel” pointing to Google.

This is still a new product from Google and they have a few minor kinks to work out, like minor width and height issue, but otherwise it’s a very welcome addition to Google’s suite of tools for webmasters.

$2000 Wordpress (coded) Blog Network Template

Description:
We are looking for a killer template for our blog network. The template will be for Wordpress and will be used on all of our blogs.

We are looking for a design that will look nice in several colors, we’d like for the design to be done in such a way that we can change a couple of css styles to change the colors of the site.

The basic requirements are:

*Network bar at the top (mainly for branding, logo link provided below)
*Ad space for the following ad sizes: 728×90 (top of page), 300×250 (side bar), 160×600 (sidebar) and 336×280 (after first post and before comments on details page) and 728×15 Google Text Links).
*Google search box
*Standard Wordpress features (Categories, search, RSS feeds etc.)
*Network Sites list (These will be organized by Channel. There will be a large number of blogs – several hundred).
*Space at the top for logo/font type.

Other Requirements:

* Must be coded for the latest version of Wordpress (valid XHTML/CSS)
* PSD provided So we can make changes later if needed
* This template must be original and never used anywhere else (before or after the sale).

I personally want to thank everyone again for all the great applications we received. After reviewing hundreds of application we have picked our first one hundred bloggers we would like to join the 451 Press network. Over the next few days, those chosen will receive an invite email to join the 451 Press network. In that email will be links to our Weblog agreement and required tax forms. After we have received confirmation that those chosen would like to join, we will shortly there after setup those blogs for each writer. We hope to launch our first fifty blogs by Friday of this week. The following week after we will launch the remaining fifty blogs. If you did not receive an invite email please be patient, we are working hard to process all applications and consider everyone a potential writer for 451 Press.

After our initial launch of one hundred blogs we will reopen the application page for new applications. Once again, thank you to everyone for your applications and we look forward to working with a great team of bloggers.

We are happy to say that we got overwhelmed with great applications for the open call for bloggers. We are in the process of reviewing them all, and there are many of them, and we will be in touch over the next few days. We will post an announcement when we’ve completed reviewing them and make any decisions, which should be in the next couple of days.

We just got our new signs in and they look great!

Now everyone should be able to find us and not have to bug the neighbors to figure out which suite we are in.

I’m very happy to announce that 451 Press is open for business! It took us around 6 weeks to get the offices setup, all the paper work done and get the sites ready to go live. Some days it seemed like time would just stand still, but sitting here in the offices today it seems like time just flew by.
